The existing site had served the purpose at launch, but to scale the website needed to do much more and provide a better user experience.

With a great product and the challenge of engaging a niche group of customers to buy a new to market product, the existing website built in Squarespace focused heavily on product and not enough on telling the story behind the brand. The existing site had served the purpose at launch, but to scale the website needed to do much more and provide a better user experience. We suggested moving from Squarespace where the existing site sat to Shopify, not only is it easy to use as a back end user, it allows you to provide a great user experience to drive the best return on investment from the site. It's also much more scalable than Squarespace. We're big believers in creating a website that stands the test of time - using Shopify as a platform allows you to keep up with the ever changing ecommerce landscape with new features coming available with regular Shopify platform updates. The ease of use of the platform also makes price changes, product updates and content management straightforward.

Carbon neutral orders + volume discounts

One main reason for choosing Shopify for Verta was because of its huge collection of apps to scale the store without the need for custom coded solutions each time. We integrated EcoCart to allow customers to make their order Carbon Neutral as well as including a volume discounting app to allow for discounted multi buy purchases from product pages, integrating the app with the cart and ordering system to allow for seamless checkout by the site visitor.
